Meet Hamida

Every day I see the light of Gods love shining in the eyes of the children we care for. Though they once walked in uncertainty, they now walk in hope.

Helping these little ones is not just my work - its my calling.

Together, we can be the hands and feet of Jesus, leading these orphans into a brighter future.

My Story

My name is Hamidah or Midah for short and I am sharing my story life to you my dear friends.

When I was 5yrs old both my parents had passed away and I had to live on the streets looking for food to survive. This was a very scary time of life for me and I have many stories of how God watched over me during this season of my life . I lived on the streets for 3 yrs until I met an old man who accepted me and took me in as  part of his family

So at the age of 8 years old a local man and his wife found me and took me into their home. He raised me like I was his own child, feeding me and clothing me and teaching me to read and speak English.

Sadly the old man passed away, and I was forced to leave the place I had come to know as home. I faced unimaginable struggles as once again I was forced to live on the streets of Kampala Uganda. Yet, it was during this darkness that I found my purpose. Driven by the desire to help children with similar struggles that I had to face, I founded my orphanage in 2016, and it was officially registered in 2019.

What started as a small act of kindness grew into a haven for children in need.

Today, I care for 42 precious children, each with their own unique story. Recently, I welcomed twins into our family - fragile, innocent and left without a mother after she passed away shortly after childbirth. My heart ached at the thought of them facing the same struggles I once did. So, I opened my arms and welcomed them into our family.

May God Bless You.
